Can I call an electrician in the middle of the night?
Yes, on six nights of the week. From Saturday to Thursday the phone is answered 24 hours. On Fridays we open at 4 AM and close at 11:30 PM.
What should I tell you when I call?
Your area and building, what you can see, hear or smell, and whether you have switched the power off. If you can, send a photo of the DB board or the damaged point on WhatsApp.
My neighbours have no power either. Who do I call?
That is a supply fault, not a fault inside your property. Report it to Kahramaa on 991. An electrician cannot restore the supply to a building or a street.
Should I switch the breaker back on after it trips?
You can try once. If it trips again, leave it off. A breaker that will not hold is protecting you from a live fault, and forcing it on can overheat the cable. The causes are explained on our circuit breaker repair page.
Does an emergency call cost more than a booked visit?
The price depends on the fault and the parts, and a night call takes more arranging than a planned visit. You are given a written quote once the cause is found, before the repair starts, so the bill holds no surprises.
Will my power be back the same night?
In most cases the electrician can isolate the fault and restore power to the circuits that are not affected on the first visit. If a part has to be ordered, the damaged circuit stays switched off until it is fitted.
