A home needs rewiring when the cable insulation has broken down, when circuits have no earth wire, or when the wiring can no longer carry the load of the appliances in use. Age alone is not the test. An electrician decides by inspecting the cable ends and testing the insulation of each circuit, and often only the worst circuits need replacing.

In most buildings in Qatar the cables run inside conduits, which are pipes set into the concrete and block walls. Where the conduits are sound, the old cable can be drawn out and new cable pulled through the same route. The walls stay closed, and the work is quicker and cleaner than most people expect.
Where a conduit is blocked or crushed, or a point is wanted in a new place, a channel is cut for a new conduit and then filled. We tell you at the survey which circuits can be re-pulled and which need cutting, so you know how much making good to plan for.
The cable itself is chosen by load: thinner for lighting, thicker for sockets, thicker again for AC units and cookers. Each circuit gets a breaker of the matching rating at the DB board.

Yes. After testing we tell you which circuits are sound and which are not. Many customers replace the failing circuits first and plan the rest for later.
Not for a partial rewire. For a full rewire of an occupied home we work room by room, so you can stay, though it is easier and quicker in an empty property.
No. Rewiring replaces the cable in the walls and ceilings. A DB board replacement changes the breakers and the box they sit in. Old properties often need both, but each can be done on its own.
Yes. We run new circuits from the DB board for power, lighting and AC. If the extra load is more than the existing supply allows, an application to Kahramaa is needed, and we tell you so at the survey.
